YEW TREE FISHERYS,NESTON,SMALL LAKE,18TH OF MARCH 2012

On this day I decided to visit an old faviorite fishery of mine yew tree fishery in neston. I arrived there at nine oclock and went in the shop and asked paul what the best baits are at the moment, as per usual it was pellet. I decided to fish the small lake as it never lets me down.

Rigs

I found a shelf near the island and it was only in 18inches of water so I decided to use a 4x10 malman winter wire with 0.13 mainline and a 0.11 bottom with a size 16 tubertini 808. I also used a simlar rig for my margin line.

Tactics

Taking pauls advice i decided to fish some 4mm expander pellet. With the water being very coloured I fed fairly positivley potting a quater of a cupping kits worth of micros and 4mm hard pellet. I noticed this was better that feeding little and often suprisingly.

Fish Caught

In the end I had 32lb of f1s lots of different tipes of gold fish , normal carp, and some big silvers. So it turned out to be a great days fishing.
