Tarvin Sands Fishery (Tarvin)

Tarvin Sands Fishery (Tarvin nr Chester) Tuesday 9th August

Kelsall Road, Tarvin, Chester CH3 8NR
Just 6 mile from Chester on the A54.

I have heard some good thing about this place from a few angling friends, so I thought I would give it a go. On arriving to the fishery, the facilities looked very well maintained, and of a high quality. The facilities include cafe, toilets, tackle shop and plenty of car parking. The fishery was well maintained and very clean with good access to all waters and pegs, with all pegs of good standing and well spaced.

The quality of fish that I took, fellow and anglers took and what was reported from regular anglers to the water was very high indeed. There are different waters for different type of anglers, from a serious match angler to the pleasure angler and families who want to have a day out and try something new.

The staff on site were more than friendly and helpful, and the owner Clint is more than approachable and is very passionate about the fishery and tells me big plans for the future, including camping and more waters.

Fish taken on the day were mainly carp on the lake I was fishing, with a big bream thrown in. Other anglers took mainly big carp as well and also good roach and bream. While talking to Clint, he informs that there is a great mixture of all course fish in the different waters.

To be honest this fishery is top draw with something for everyone, and I will be down again soon to fish one of the other waters.
