Cheshire fisherys, Tattenhall 29th January 2012 I arrived at the fishery at half 8. and set up on lake 4 at first I have to admit i was struggling but i kept putting roach and skimmers in the net.Last 2 hours i decided to switched to the bomb rod. It was the best thing I ever done as i watched my tip fly round several times to put 9 carp in my keep net in the last 2 hours totaling a amazing 40 lb . Rigs I set a bomb rod up with a micro lead clip and a small square lead with a 15 inch hooklength and a korum quickstop. On the pole i used the trusty 4x12 malman benny with a 18 tubertini 808 tied to 0.09 line. Tactics on the pole i was fishing single white maggots feeding a slop made from black swimstim and maggots at 6 m. On the bomb i fished 6mm cubed meat feeding 2 or 3 bits of meat every 2 fish and i just couldnt stop catching i even had a 4lb ghost carp on the drop!!! Fish taken on the day I caught 9 big carp the biggest being 8lb some big skimers a huge roach and about 40 small roach and skimmers all totaling 40 lb considering its late january it fished really well.
