Drumble.

Drumble, 6th June 2012.

A few weeks ago, Stephen Roberts said “Shall we go Cudmore mate?” and I thought why the hell not, always wanted to go there, and with Wendy the fishing machine Royles in tow, we rocked up ready for tight lines.

We had decided to fish Drumble, as despite all the great looking waters the venue has to offer, we wanted plenty of mixed fish and lots of bites, with no monsters lurking to straighten our hooks, and from today’s performance we chose right.

The water itself was in great condition with good colour, lots of features, including a large lily pad, two islands, aerator and reeds surrounding the margins. All the pegs were well spaced and a good size, you are able to park right near your peg or a short walk to it from the car park.

The fish taken on the day was a good mix, between us we took Mirror, Common and Crucian Carp, Barbel, Roach, Tench, Chub, Bream, Skimmer Bream and Ide. All fish were in great condition, Wendy had some good Barbel of about 2-3lb, me and Stephen had some great Carp and a bucket load of Tench, one a chuck at some points of the day.  There will be a long list of tactics to come as everything was catching and we had the luxury of a long days fishing allowed us to try a few different tactics.
