River Dee at Farndon 27th January 2011.

River Dee at Farndon (Chester) Thursday 27th January 2011.

First trip out on the river this year, and every peg but was one taken. I was fishing the Farndon side which is free, if you want to fish the Holt side of the river, you need a Dee anglers card and I am sure from chatting to chaps on the bank of few other Cheshire club card holders can fish it.

I am relatively new to river fishing so it is still trial and error, but I find that alot of other seasoned river anglers on the bank are happy to give advice and tips.

I was fishing the second to last peg just before you get to the disabled pegs at the end of the small road and turning area, you can park right next to your peg.

I landed, Grayling, brown Trout, Chub and a lot of good sized Dace.

I would recommend this stretch of river as I have never failed to catch here and it is a beautiful place to be even in the dead of winter.
