Information.

Mersey Valley is a private members club within the grounds of the Golf Club and consisting of two lakes. The first lake, Chestnut is the larger lake with 29 fishing platforms. There are two islands on this lake. The second lake, Acorn, has twenty platforms and one island. Both lakes are approx one meter deep in the margins to approx 2 to 3 meters deep in various places. All members can take advantage of the golf club facilities including bar, catering and  private car park. Both lakes are well stocked with Common and Mirror Carp into double figures, quality Roach, Perch, Rudd, Orfe, Tench, Chub, Barbel and Crucian Carp.

 Tactics

Pole, Float Rod or Leger all work well, red maggot, worm and caster work well during the winter for the roach and perch. Pellet, meat and corn work well for the carp in the summer. No Keep Nets allowed. Barbless Hooks only.

 Membership

Members only. One off joining fee of £55 for ordinary member, £45 for Disabled and Over 60s. Then annual subscription of £85 for ordinary member (which equates to £1.63p per week) and   £70 for disabled and Over 60s. (Which equates to £1.35p per week?)
